There are learning opportunities for everyone in Rochester at every level of experience. From one on one חברותא, to regular shiurim, Daf and Amud Yomi, we have a program that’s right for you. Just need somewhere to set up your own סדר? Come check out the nightly Kollel Yitzchak Bais Medrash program at Congregation Light of Israel or grab a seat at the Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva. We also have a large range of classes for women, offered by various community Rabbis on Shabbos and weekdays. Interested in online learning? Below is a short list of some learning programs currently available – though this is not all inclusive as new programs are regularly being formed.

Amud Yomi
Mon-Thurs 8:10 p.m. Given by Rabbi Baruch Davidowitz at Light of Israel.

Daf Yomi
Mon-Fri 6:15 a.m. Sunday 7:15 a.m. and Shabbos 1 hour and 45 minutes before Shkia. Given by Rabbi Danny Goldstein at Beth Sholom except for Shabbos afternoon which is at his home 366 Oakdale Dr.

Community Bais Medrash – Kollel Yitzchak
Mon-Thurs 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Brighton Community Bais Medrash and Kollel Yitzchak at Light of Israel.

Weekly Gemara Shiur with Rosh HaYeshiva
Tuesdays 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Menachem Davidowitz Shlita has been giving a weekly Gemara shiur for working guys on Tuesday nights for many years. In fact some of the men who have been attending the shiur regulary have covered over half of shas during their time attending the shiur. With only a once a week commitment! The shiur is given at the Yeshiva.

Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. at Congregation Beth Sholom. Open to both men and women.

Ladies Hilchos Shabbos Shiur
Every other Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at Brighton Community Bais Medrash (Light of Israel). Given by Rabbi Baruch Davidowitz.

Community Pilpul Shiur
The Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Menachem Davidowitz Shlita gives a version of the Yeshiva’s Pilpul shiur to men of the community about every 2-3 weeks. Email us at TorahRochester@gmail.com to find out when the next shiur will be given.
